Client is a leading innovator in the development of advanced catheter-based medical devices. This is a full time/ direct hire role located in MN.
Position Overview
As the Director of Engineering, you will play a key leadership role in driving the development, design, and manufacturing of our catheter-based medical devices. You will be responsible for overseeing a multidisciplinary team of engineers and collaborating closely with other departments such as R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, innovative products to market. Your expertise in engineering management, medical device development, and catheter technologies will be critical to the success of company projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant discipline is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in engineering, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in the medical device industry, specifically focusing on catheter design and development.
- Strong knowledge of catheter technologies, including materials, manufacturing techniques, and device design considerations.
- Familiarity with product development methodologies such as Agile or Stage-Gate.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
